wow ; out of this world + SYC = WOW !
yesterday , i came home from the most amazaing 5 days ive had in a VERY . LONG . TIME . it was UC and PG 123 '09 .
it was SO AMAZING ! UC was first up ; and it took a while to get there ! i went to hami's place , in blacktown ? seven hills ? i have NOOO idea , but VERY FAR AWAY ! that was followed by 3 woolies trips , two train rides (one was wrong so we had to get off) , and one mini van ride to get to merroo conference centre . we signed in , got our shirts (green , YAY !) , our room allocations , etc and got into it . i cant describe EVERYTHING ; that would take me DAYS to write ! so just in short -
my UC cell group was pretty good - the only downer was that i wasnt with cat NOR hyejoo ! the leader was actually NICE to me (UNLIKE YOU , MIKE D<)! the sermons were great ; steve , danny , monica , juno ... they were all really good ! and the praise team ; WOW ! i recognised janice , sonia and james - i didnt know james played electric ! but the team was amazing ; the drummer was EXCEPTIONAL :D the food was chat , as per usual , the showers WOULDNT give out hot water (D:) , and the rooms were okey , because the people were nice and i knew them . i was in a room with hami , carol , serafina , sera , heidi , linda and hannah ; the year ten unnis were nice (: well that camp went by in a flash ; before i knew it , UC camp was OVER . but unlike most people , that wasnt it for me - i had two and a half hours till our SYC camp started ! me , helen and hami took that chance to go have a nice hot shower , since the hot water tank was full , and then we sat around with sharon , michael , carol and , later on , kevin , talking .
soon enough , our pg 123 buses started arriving - and finally , familiar faces started coming into view ! it felt good to be with my friends again ; but i realised , it wasnt all that bad being with randoms too ! but anyway , the same thing happened - registration , room allocations - the only bad thing was , the icebreakers for the groups were at medowbank before they came ; so i was still a bt awkward with my group ! but it was all cool ; cos haeun unni was there , daniel was there , and jenny unni was really nice , and david , peter , danielle and hannah weren't mean (: the SYC was different to UC in some ways ; the rules were stricter , the rooms were locked up , and there were games (: the first day , we had a little opening sermon , and then dinner ; while everyone was like EUGH , i was like hey this is nice ! :L it WAS - green curry , and not as chat as the plastic steak and mushy pancakes id had for the last three days .
i dont really remember much from that night ; i slept through 이규현 pastor's talk (x im sorry ! but i couldnt help it - UC wore me out too much D: we actually slept early that night , and we slept well ; well atleast i did (: and the good news ? THE SHOWERS WERE HOT THE NXT MORNING ! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ! it felt so good to have a hot shower in a freezing morning (:
the second day was more fun , since we had games and stuff - the games were lame , most of them , but still fun :L the only game that was a bit scary was dodgeball ; the aim of the game was to get 4 girls out . well 3 from out team got out pretty fast ; how the hell i stayed alive , i do not know . but this one guy on the other team - harry , i think his name was ? - was getting a little bit agro ! he was full pegging the ball like he wanted to kill someone D: but lucky for me , daniel and david are good at stopping the ball , so i lived :D we won that game :D but seriously , daniel and david were really good D: david had a kinda no-face that scared me , but he was good (:
the sermon with paul was fun too ; 'if god was my science teacher' (x he showed us all the things that scientists use to say that god is fake - but all of them actually point to god being real ! it was really cool ; science has gaps that are impossible to fill - thus proving that god is real . SUCK THAT ! (:
the rest of the camp was so much of a blurrrrr - i remember MAIL team , i remember bumping into WATER and getting his american accent on water , quater and tall , and i remember rebecca and ester moving into our cabin for a night (theyre really friendly ! and pretty (x). there are other things , but its so much of a tired mess :S the night sermon was really good - i only dozed off once ! but joshua is a really good pastor (: and while we were praying , i could feel that weird tingly feeling that i get , that my mother calls 'gods touch' , and it really feels like god i hugging me . it came so often ; i really felt blessed (:
and , after another sleep ; it was the last day of camp - james gave his sermon , and we did other things which i cant even recall , and then it was off to riverside . FINALLY ! but i should have called my mother ; i went to riverside with only irene and helen (and other people i didnt know) , while my other friends went to meadowbank . turns out , i was meant to go to meadowbank and get picked up with lina by her mum == ohwells , me and irene had a good time talking on the 1 and a half hour ride (:
i ended up having dinner at lina's house , and then me and my sister had a mini fashion parade at home ; trying on her new jeans , shirts , dresses , and even heels :L now my legs and feet hurt like shiz :L
anyway , i think ivfe written enough , and written for LONG enough == this took me like an hour and a bit to write D: but i was doing other things (x by the by , thats all from me today ; i might go back to sleep (:
